Welcome to a bit of extra fun. Marc is taking a short vacation from the regular duties and in the mean time I’m taking them back with a short, four-part series that’s a little off from our regular programming. Mostly, these serve to give me a chance to illustrate some characters I’ve never drawn before and to revisit the ones I miss. Fun fact: Captain Spectacular is my favorite character to draw.
The strips are intended to be fun and maybe a little insightful. Some of these characters–like Soviet Sam–you guys know pretty well. Others, you don’t, and neither really do I. I wanted to hear from those characters and see what they have to say. So, here we go. Next two weeks. Every Monday and Wednesday. Marc will return right after that.

I have not read–nor hear of–Steelheart or Brandon Sanderson. I’ll have to do some investigating.
He’s my favorite author. If you get a chance to read it, you’ll have to let me know what you think.

Is the Atomic Fly an expy of Spider-Man? His lines sound like Spidey’s quips except he seems to be more literal. Which is awesome.
