DR. ROCKET, THAT’S ONE TO GROW ON

As you can all tell by now, this Soviet Sam story is serving multiple functions, the least of which (no, really, the LEAST) is to enlighten some SF moments past. This page in particular is important to me because, looking back, the Dr. Rocket circa Chapter 3 didn’t get a lot of air time and the Dr. Rocket we meet in Chapter 4 is quite a bit different. This was a fun chance to fill in that gap a little. Hope you dig it as much as I do.

There were only ten minutes to go before the deadline and all I had to do was leave a comment identifying which Star Wars character I’d like to show around Fresno and where I’d take them.

“I’d take Boba Fett to LaserQuest and trick him into playing with me. Then, I’d shoot him in the back. Cuz you can’t kill him from the front.”

The winner was picked randomly. I’ve wonder about that though. I have a solid history of not being so much the winner so I’m naturally suspicious when what I consider to be a basic precept of my life starts to shift. I’ve already won one competition this year…
