Wait a minute…. Didn’t you hinted at another romantic relationship that Swifty has ? One with a Space alien woman of a invaders that is scared of the Space pig ?
Shouldn’t that be a bit mentioned too ?
Still I wonder what would happen if Swifty does do his destined job ?
You’re talking about Rhonda. And yes, I thought of including her in some way in this Origin, but it just never seemed to quite fit. Suffice it to say, Swifty has had several relationships over the course of his lifetime, and this story merely highlights the most significant.
As for Swifty’s destined job…he didn’t do it. Captain Spectacular did it instead, so he missed his chance. Whether or not Swifty’s mind is restored, well, that’s up to you.
Wow, my computer was on the fritz and I just caught up. So I have a question—what’s up with the fingers? This story arc started in the five-finger universe and switched to the four-finger universe on page 12, after Swifty’s dad messed with his mind.
The four fingers… first of all, good catch. Second of all… it’s a mistake. And you’ve correctly identified the page on which we caught it. A fix to all the pages should be coming soon. But, good work and well-spotted!
The last panel is fantastic, but has me a bit confused. Does Swifty remember his feelings for Pink Shade….or is he struggling to remember what his father took from him?
Great question. It’s meant to mean whatever you want it to mean. As I talk about in the comments for the cover (the episode right after this one), I really struggled with the proper way to end this origin. This ambiguous ending felt the most “true” to me. Does he remember? Has his father’s influence faded? Is there just an inkling, like a tickle in the back of his mind? I know what I think the answer is, but I want you to have your own experience with it, so the photo is presented without commentary.
(Actually, that would be quite the idea for a villain; The Ambigous Novelist! His super-power is writing incredibly captivating stories that invariably end with the big questions never getting fully answered!)

Will Swifty’s mind be restored in some form ?

Significant?
And what happened to my Gravatar?

An open-ended, up-to-interpretation finale?
NOOOOOO!!!!
