Originally, I was going to draw this chapter myself. I actually did draw the first four strips, but when it came time to do more I realized it just all felt so wrong. I shouldn’t be drawing the SuperFogeys right now, not the way they are now. This is Marc’s territory.
This particular strip was born out of my desire to draw Zurida and Doc at least once. After finishing all the scripts for Chapter 23, I realized they didn’t appear and I didn’t want to miss out on my chance. Even though Marc is the one who ultimately drew this episode, I figured the joke was good enough to let it ride. And besides, you guys want to see Zurida and Doc, too, right?

See, sometimes being ruler of an empire means having to sacrifice those little pleasures for the sake of……um…not having to deal with the aftermath, mostly.
They clearly have not thought this through.
I just love the weird couple of Doc and Zurida. Would love to see them talking to their avalon counterparts
