We’ve seen General Grandstand and the Killer Limeys go down…. we watched as Money Man was crushed… we were shocked by the casual manner in which Captain Emo was dispatched... and now…
Tangerine. Killed by Dr. Rocket in a manner by which, it’s safe to say, there’s no coming back from that.
There’s a lot I could say about Tangerine about what role he played in the story, the moral dilemmas he allowed me to explore, and, ultimately, what his sacrifice is all about, but maybe that’s better for another day. For now, I welcome your comments.
BRIEF HIATUS

No the twist to this kind of kill was that Doc is deep undercover on this. Plus Tangerine wanted him to maintain his cover until the exact moment to switch sides.
Now that was a clever twist to this story. Good job on hiding it so well. š

This is one of the most powerful scenes I’ve seen in a long time, anywhere :O Especially because it’s two characters I deeply care about… Well done! I’ll just go cry in a corner now, see you next strip!
I think Marc really just did a phenomenal job on this one. If it had power, it’s mostly due to him. And I’m with you… this one hurts me, too.
This surprised me quite a bit, if only for the fact that this Dr Rocket had 4 fingers in the earlier scene. I wouldn’t have expected him to have associations with the good guys/rebels from the 3 finger universe.
That was a mistake. he was supposed to have three, Brock adressed that in the comments š
Correct, and if you go back and refresh the previous strip you’ll see that the art has been corrected. I know we like to pull subtle, fast ones on you guys, but this wasn’t one of those times!
Okay that’s cool, being a double agent is super tough anyway. But then as a reader if I think Thrice knows, it really ups the suspense.
They plan to use the evil devise which I don’t recall it’s name to kill all the other dimension! BTW where’s Zurida and Percy? Great job Marc & Brock, you are on a killing spree

Though, I’m wondering (especially looking at Thrice’s face in 8th panel) how does Thrice not hear a whispered conversation less than two feet from his head? Seriously, even if he couldn’t make out what they said he could tell they were conversing.
Well, I could tell you that they have secret coms that allow them to communicate with each other at an extremely low volume, but instead I’ll just tell you the truth: yeah, we’re taking a bit of artistic license here. Hoping you don’t mind going with it.
No, the Doc was right. Y’all could have ended him then and there; there’s three of you. Shoot to the heart, while the head is crushed, and Cap could … I dunno, kick him repeatedly in the crotch or something.
