Visually, this is one of my absolute favorites. You can see I’m trying something new with the background.  I first used the “faded background” technique in a guest strip I did for Wes Molebash’s strip “You’ll Have That”
 

Once I did it there, I knew I needed to try it for SF.

More copy/pasting here—but with a point!  No two panels actually look the same here, but I’m sure you can see that all that’s changing are the characters.  I thought it would be an interesting challenge to have a limited area to draw their expressions.  Jerry, in particular, was a fun exercise because all you can see are his eyes.

This strip was directly inspired by numerous phone conversations with my grandparents in Arizona (I live in California).
