This is one of those strips I can easily point to as an example of the character taking over a bit. I knew I wanted to Thrice Evil and Jerry to meet, but it wasn’t until I started scripting it that Jerry’s cheery greeting came out as absolutely how he confronts our Big Bad. It just fits. And it’s a great lead-in to Friday’s strip. Some fun stuff in that one.

See you on Friday with 678 – “Call Him Bruce”
Wow, Jerry does not know the danger he is in, doesn’t he ? š
Possibly… not.
I think he does. Look at his eyes, those are the eyes of a man who is terrified, but putting on a brave face. I think he’s bluffing through his bravado.
That is… not the character I was afraid doing a heelturn now, acutally.
Really? Do tell…
I probably forgot something from earlier strips but I started to worry why Thrice-Avalon knew he had to strike at this precise moment. I wondered if Money Man-Avalon had a way to alert him.
Of course, direct dimension hopping was out of the question, but maybe he had something to relay a message.
So you’re assuming traitorous intent on Money Man’s part? Interesting…
So this portal opened up and closed, letting in all the enemies they were destined to fight, but NONE of the forces of Earth-Avalon they wanted to fight alongside. (Well, ‘cept the Money Man, but I don’t see him taking down Thrice and his cronies anytime soon.)
Abbadon is so done for.
Yeah, it’s not lookin’ good.
I’m guessing that Jerry is pleased to meet Thrice Evil because he wants revenge, and not because he’s decided to rejoin the dark side. Let’s all hope Jerry has a really good plan.
You have zero wait to find out! Friday’s strip will prove interesting.
