Classic case of denial? Or something else? As per usual, Marc nails the comedy moments with some nice acting. Look at the progression in Dark Maiden’s body language across these panels, from stooped to an arched back we know exactly what she’s thinking a feeling without even reading the dialogue. I love it.

See you on Wednesday with SF 650 – “GAH! Feelings!”
And Sam is still standing there, let alone standing at all.
Yeow, that looks like it’s gonna hurt. I just love this web comic! I can’t wait to see more… and more of Swifty! He’s my favorite~ <3
And we love you for loving it, StacetheAce. You should be pleased–this chapter is a bit heavy with Swifty!
I think Dark Maiden is in denial. Maybe it’s her sub conscious acting up ?
Who knows I could see Dark Maiden be an Anti heroine when this is over.
I can see that as well. Not saying that’s what’s planned, but I can see that thread.
Oh ouch! And I just noticed Avalon Money Man is standing right next to Sam! It’d be awful if he got injured as collateral damage in yet another super powered people scuffle.
I would NEVER do such a thing.
No.
Nuh uh.
No way.
Mm-hmmm. I see, and raise you two. I also look forward to hunting feverishly for more of Marc’s ‘well-hidden-in-plain-sight’ clues (see also Swifty’s amputation).
