Hey, everybody! Sorry I’ve been gone so long. These past couple of weeks have been rough ones. There have been good times, but I haven’t been unemployed since I was 21-years-old and trying to figure out how this new life is supposed to work while also figuring out how to put food on the table has been a challenge. I don’t have the second part answered, but I think I’ve finally figured out how to be unemployed while also doing SF and everything else I need to do to get out of this situation.
I really appreciate all the messages of support here and on my blog. You guys have been really quite kind and understanding. I’m especially grateful to those of you who have asked what you can do and have suggested we put SF on Patreon. As far as Patreon goes, I aim to get that going very soon. More details to follow on that.
As for what you can do… I need a job. I’m looking and I’m not ruling anything out, including making a big move.
I’m putting myself out there in three different ways:
1. My LinkedIn profile. (Love to connect with all of you on there.)
3. My blog.
If you or someone you know might have need of someone with Art Director experience and a love for video and editing and writing, please pass my info along. I can most easily be reached at bwhheasley (at) gmail (dot) com. Thanks very much.
As for today’s strip… I’ve been kind of bummed that the schedule has been in turmoil for this chapter because this is pretty essential stuff. We’re unlocking the secrets of the SF universe here. I hope when the chapter is over everyone takes the time to read it all through at once. Should be rewarding.
Schedule update: we’re gonna be keeping to the once-a-week on Monday schedule until the New York Comic Con is over in mid-October. This will give Marc a chance to catch up a bit and for us to put together the very first SF ashcan. NYCC will be the ONLY place you can pick that baby up. More details to come.Ā
…Geesh! Thrice is really living up to his name in this universe! š
He is… mean. Definitely mean.
Looks like Thrice is filling the Anti-Monitor role, not the Krona or Pariah part.
Also, I wish you luck with your new job search, Brock! Hope you find something soon!
Thanks!
I think it’s fair to say I took some inspiration from the first Crisis for this storyline, but if you’re looking for one-to-one comparisons you’re probably going to come up a little short. Still, it’s a fun game to play. And I could be wrong.
Wo seeing this strip makes me glad that “regular ” Thrice Evil hasn’t learn his true potential on the Regular Earth. I’m sort of glad for his soft spoken nature now.
See? You don’t know how good it is until you see how bad it could be.
Is there any universe where the heroes girlfriend doesn’t suffer some tragic fate?
No. It is the unifying principle of the multiverse.
Good Lord, that’s brutal!
It gets worse.
Wonder what the CS in this world did to power down?
Stepped into a crystal chamber and bathed himself in red light?
No, that sounds way too silly. what? next he would rip the CS off his chest and throw it at thrice?
I have the same reaction if it takes Dominos longer than 20 minutes to deliver my pizza.
Nice.
Made me chuckle.
Are you not content with the universe? Are you unable to succeed, incapable of achieving victory? BREAK IT. BREAK THE UNIVERSE, AND REMAKE IT IN YOUR OWN IMAGE!
What I’m saying is, I like this Thrice Evil fellow.
“I’ve met your kind before Trapper. You’re all the same. You come out shouting about your vaunted abilities, how you’ll change everything. Then whine when the universe takes you down a peg. Well guess what? It’s -MY- turn now. And I am going to set everything right! ~ Hal Jordan.
