Just for the record: this is 100% what I would do if I ever went to the White House. What woman doesn’t like to hear she’s sane?
Hey! Guess what? SuperFogey is a featured free comic on Comixology! How cool is that? Don’t forget to rate the book if you pick it up!
The worlds oldest speedster. Caught flat-footed.
Couldn’t agree more!
Alternate Swifty’s marries in this world, but to who ?
Regular Swifty has a crush on Alternate Star Maiden, well that would explain Swifty’s actions to regular Star Maiden, right ? š
I wonder what other surprises are in store in this alternate world ?
Sooo many.
Oh, alternate universes. Would our Spy Gal text Swifty’s wife if his alternate self started flirting with the first lady (who would further complicate things, by the way, by being named Mrs. Superknocker)? No.
And knowing that people in this universe do have different personalities just makes it harder to guess who this Swifty might be married to, assuming he is married to the alternate version of someone from our Swifty’s universe.
Wouldn’t really be much fun if he wasn’t, right?
The exchange on the last panel is interesting. They sound rather professional, yet friendly with each other. Which isn’t really something I’d say about the first League of Superheroes.
I wonder if Swifty is married to Michelle… oh! Maybe it’s a completely new character, or the Ninja lady.
Michelle is a great theory. It would certainly make sense from what we’ve seen.
I begin to have the creeping suspicion that this entire time Brock created the strip as the idea of what it would be like to follow a, well, not so much a distopian version. Hm. You know how it’s kind of a standard story in comics that the hero’s of the “main” universe go to an alternate where they see how badly things have gone and help make things a little better? It begins to feel like the entirety of Superfogeys has become a subversion of that.
IF that’s what I’m doing… that’s a long game to play, my friend.
Not that I’m referencing anything or anyone, but I think you’d be surprised just who happens to be playing a long game.
I’ll be interested to see who Mrs. Swifty is. If it’s not Michelle, then I hope it’s Rhonda! On a side note, I’d like to take a moment to express my joy at the return of SF Origins.
So noted, Andrew! I’m hoping that as the current origin story starts to reveal itself more people will get a little more excited. Comments like yours help.
Because I really, really want to get to the Swifty origin.
My soon-to-be wife would find the alternate me hitting on someone else hilarious. Then again, she might go postal. She’s possessive of me like that. And wrought from sturdy, Russian farm stock genetics. I’m going to guess that Swifty’s wife is of the first sort, else Swifty would be have slipped in a “are you TRYING to get me disemboweled?”, while whipping the phone out of Spy Gal’s hand.
If Swifty’s wife doesn’t find it hilarious, then Spy Gal is just mean (and this really is the darkest timeline).
If anyone on the good guy team is naughty in this world, it’s Spy Gal.
