Greetings, Fogeys Fans! Marc here taking posting duties while Brock attends to some family business. Could this be Jerry’s final fate? Is this how the Jerry/ Spay Gal romance ends once and for all?

Speaking as someone who has obsessed over someone instead of truly loving them, it wasn’t a romance. You meet someone who’s come into your life, and they’re wonderful. And the first thought you have, but never admit is “This person can fix things. If I have them, everything will finally be all right.”
You place their talent and their smile and their traits on a pedestal, and miss the person entirely.
Ending? Jerry really has only begun his denial.
Been there too, Professor. It really kills you to admit, finally, that you never really loved them. The investment level is so high that it’s like pulling the rug out from under your world.
Jerry is bound to escape beacuse he runs the place and there’s bound to be an escape route in that jail somewhere.
Poor Spy Girl, unlucky in love in all the wrong places. 🙁
You will know if Jerry is getting out of jail by the end of this chapter. That’s a promise.
Would ironic symmetry be asymmetrical?
hmmm…. possibly.
Finally she says what I said all along.
Indeed. Spy Gal seems to have a great deal of clarity at the moment.
Wow… this seems a little harsh… even for her. I mean, yeah, he’s an evil bastard that’s put the world at stake just so he can get Spygal, but… no wait, I take that back… she’s right.
She might be, but Spy Gal has always been a mix of the tender and the tough. In it’s own way, this strip kind of encapsulates the two.
I see Jerry as more True Neutral than Evil. He’s not cruel, just EXTREMELY selfish in his quest to acquire and keep the partner he wants.
Zurida, on the other hand, is Evil (I’d say Neutral Evil, but I’m not sure.) She wants Captain Spectacular back, and if that means hurting people, so much the better.
