This is it! The Penultimate strip of Chapter 16 – Invasion, Pt. 3: Secrets, Secrets are No Fun. It’s all been building to what happens on Wednesday. There was a seed planted a long, long time ago that is finally gonna pay off–one I don’t think anyone has ever noticed.
My mind has already turned to the next chapter. I’ve been scribbling out dialogue and outlines and spinning ideas like crazy. I can’t friggin’ wait for this chapter to end so we can get to the super cool stuff coming up.
Last summer, I got suspected of being a terrorist, along with my wife and coworker. It’s a pretty funny story and if you’d like to see us tell it, click on over to my new blog over at the AIMS Sandbox, “Working for AIMS Makes You a Terrorist?”
Twenty bucks says he says “The devil.” š
I’m not allowed to take that bet, am I?
Fact is, Tangerine hasn’t really changed. At least, not in the way we’ve all been made to think. He’s changed to the bad side, and we’re all about to find it out.
That’s great and all… but what can he really do with one arm? Smell you to death?
Man if Tangerine reveals Klein is Jerry then Spygirl is going to have on really bad day. He did pick up on that way back in the Headgaems arc after all and after all as far as I can remember he has never met the Third Man.
I can’t recall that ever happening either. Good memory!
I’m inclined to agree with Tyler. Tangerine may have decided that his violent ways were in error, but he’s still selfish and lazy – in fact he still fits Soviet Sam’s definition of a villain better than most of the villains do!
In some ways, yes. Tangerine would call himself an “anti-hero.” But that of course begs the question–what is the difference between a villain and an anti-hero? Or between a hero and an anti-hero for that matter?
But has he known Dr. Klein is also Jerry? – bom bom bommmmmm
Pretty sure Tangerine has never physically encountered the Third Man, when he appeared to the majority of the Fogeys for the first time it was during visiting day when Tangerine was already in the cells. However he does know who Dr Klein really is.

The “seed” is earlier than that.
Good sleuthing, Lewis. You’ll see how it plays out and if you’re right or not on Wednesday.
Very nice job on the shading! Really adds to the mood.
Somber, right? Marc does his thing, we all win.
