Okay, I kind of love how Marc draws Spy Gal when she’s in bad@$$ mode. That door never saw it coming.
Last week was basically Cami week at my house as we celebrated her 8th birthday. My wife and daughter spoke at a school assembly about the damage the R-Word does and why it’s a good idea to stop saying it. I wrote up a brief blog and posted a video showing off their contribution. Worth a look if you’re curious. Check it all out here.
For someone who can phase through solid objects, you’d figured it’d be sneakier to not announce your presence. She’s just working off aftershocks from menopause, isn’t she?
Either that or the confirmation of her suspicions has taken the wheels off.
Well this is going nice, but just wondering, why Spygal never tried to break into Dr. Klein’s office as soon as she got rid of the power damper? And why does he has all his evil schemes and villain stuff in the safety of a common drawer? I think that he could manage to put a decent safe in a locations with no doors and not such a obvious place. Maybe where Tom was held captive, that could have been used as the ThirdMan’s Cave
I think your first question can be answered by simply remembering that Spy Gal is a spy, yes, but also a hero. She’s not gonna just break into his office because she thinks she might find something. With her suspicions backed up by another, it’s like she’s got a bit of permission to do some damage. True, she could have been a bit gentler about it, but she’s still Spy Gal. Her hero side will always conflict with her impulsive side.
As for your other question… you are right for asking it.
I don’t know. I get the eternal conflict between Spygal’s impulses vs her duty, that is one of the great things that makes her character so interesting. However, I think that she had plenty of suspicions (she had that chart that she showed to Jerry and even during the 1 to 1 interview in the head games chapter she was quite aware of the Dr.’s evilness) Then again, I think that just getting back from their weeding, she and Jerry would be very “honeymoon mode” so she wouldn’t be paying to much attention to evil conspiracies… Great work as always, congratulations
Wow, the most simplest proof of all…the old fake wig and glasses trick. š
Also it seems that Spy Girl is more action than stealth these days. š
Too true, Marcus. One cannot help but wonder when she might return to her roots.
Actually, shattering a door that is already open is more impressive than one that can’t just get pushed out of the way.
Door? Pish-tush! Superheroes have never had any use for doors!
convenient blue prints? Jerry really is a super villian…HA!
Seems to me that maybe ol’ Jerry planted this to draw attention away from his real identity as Jerry in order to place the blame on the non-existing Klein? Eh.
… *sees blueprints* … Oh, okay. Jerry has real powers, but the jolt of light that stuns people is a created invention? Oh, okay.
