A huge battle deserves a proper ramp up and that’s what you’ve gotten this week. Next week sees the fight begin in earnest and Marc and I are pulling out all the stops. We’re even approaching things a little differently, with Marc essentially assuming the role of co-plotter for the rest of this chapter as we bring you legit, super people action. Bout time, right?
Speaking of super people action, have you seen the new Man of Steel trailer? Superman is my favorite superhero (though you’d never know it based on what I’ve done with Captain Spectacular) and this trailer seems to capture the spirit of what I’ve always thought Superman should be–a savior, burdened but not unwilling. We’ll have to wait until June 2013 to see if the actual movie holds up, but color me excited.

The big guy didn’t knock Tom out. The big guy is Tom’s new best friend. With a name like ‘Spy Gal’ you’d think she would get better intel before making a plan.
To be fair, Percy is holding Tom… and Tom is unconscious. Also, Percy is dressed like Zurida. Easy conclusion to jump to.

Broc, I got to say I love these characters. I’m so impressed with how the comic has evolved from short “one-liner” jokes to fully-developed, deeply dramatic story lines. Well done. Superfogeys has quickly become one of my favorite web comics.
And Marc…what can I say…dang boy! Your art has really made Broc’s storytelling sing! Your use of perspective and depiction of action is world class for sure. This strip alone offers so much more information and overall richness in just your use of subtle body and facial gestures than the dialog actually provides. The two of you are clearly a powerhouse in the world of comics, and easily rival anything else out there. Again, well done!

Awww! Go easy on Percy, he’s adorable and clearly is a super-hero waiting to happen from the way he reacts to things.
We have a new Soviet Sam like character in Percy. Come on big guy show us that heart of gold!
Time for Swifty to put a little bit of that spark back in his shoes again and pull Tom from the scene ASAP. I suspect Captain will intercede on Percy’s part protecting his new son and his old, at least I hope he does. As for Zurida…she get’s what she deserves.
