I think I may have pushed how much dialogue I can fit into one strip to the limit. Golly, that’s wordy. Couldn’t help it. Zurida and her son are so much fun to write for and I really wanted to get a sense of their relationship. They surprised me a little.
Marc did a particularly beautiful job with this one. Sorry I had to cover so much of it up!
FUN FACT: The identity of the father of Zurida’s son may be the very worst kept secret in all the SuperFogeys universe!
Im not sure I wanna know where Zurida’s people kiss at….
I had the exact same thought.
Forehead, cheek, other cheek, lower cheeks, other head?
Okay, well, if you guys don’t wanna know then I won’t tell. Done!
Hmm, first pop culture in-joke in a long time, no? Since I don’t watch TV, I had no idea about whom they were talking. Ah, the power of Google.
Yeah, we don’t really trade in pop culture references around here. Old people and all that. But Percy? Yeah, he watches a bit of TV.
Maybe Zurida should go after NBC for canceling Parks and Rec. (Would that then make her a hero?)
Huh? Parks and Rec isn’t cancelled! I mean, I’m sure it will be next year, but it’s still got another season to go at least.
Wait wait wait. Brock. You have made me so happy. The last I had heard was that it was canceled. According to my (latest) research, it might not be canceled after all! I think we should send you guys some more cookies.
They’ll never get the Ron Swanson. He’s too good. The Tom Haverford is as good as dead.
You speak truth.
Oh my goodness. My favorite comedy ever has now been mentioned in a SuperFogeys strip! At long last, I can rest.
You’re welcome.
Alien weakness exposed in first frame. Even alien invaders will not cross the velvet ropes.
Ha!
A momument to the Great Emancipator as a meeting spot for those intent on revenge…justice may yet prevail. (love the hair flip)
Yes, I don’t think we should fear quite yet. After all, Abraham Lincoln was also a vampire hunter. Or so I’m told.
Just read your archive thanks to Crossoverkill. This comic rocks. What’s the update schedule like?
Someone is still reading the Crossover series?
That’s what I like to hear! Schedule is M-W-F. Good to have you aboard!
wow is it just me or does Lincoln look mad at them?
don’t worry Brock, i don’t mind word as long as it has a point. And this furthers the story.
great strip keep it up.
One pop culture reference that old folks would get immediately is the homage to the original “Day The Earth Stood Still.”
The Lincoln Memorial scene.
