I’d alway meant to check back in with Tom before now, but I could never really find a good reason for doing so within the main strip. Readers with long memories will remember that it was Tom to whom Jerry told his origin story. You see that and Tom’s reaction to Jerry’s origin, starting here.
What about Tom’s origin? Wanna see what it’s like to grow up as the son of the world’s greatest superhero? Check out Jetpacks Anonymous!
Harvey looks like’s going to eat Tom in the fifth panel, I wouldn’t want to be next to him.
Tell you what, I wouldn’t want to be ANYWHERE near Harvey. He makes the rabbit in Holy Grail look like a pansy.
LOL I forgot all about those rabits…they could be Harvey’s minions.
I Think we going to see DR make it a point to completly destroy Jerry… how dare he double cross him
so.. does jerry just take tom a hamburger when he needs to gloat at him, or does he toss food in there regular-like?
Yes, and not just hamburgers. Filet Mignon. Halibut. T-bones. Salad Bar. And, once in a while, a chef. Jerry is a very good warden.
You just have to love the back and forth expressions of Harvey in this one. Each time he looks at Dr. Rocket you can definitely see his submissive nature, very good job. I would like to think having Harvey with him would serve as an advantage, not to mention not being shackled as Tom is as well. Dr. Rocket is definitely a very crafty guy and I’m sure if anyone can formulate an escape plan it will be him. Jerry’s actions are about to come back on him very quickly.
I can’t wait to see how Thrice will handle this. I’m sure he’ll stay his quiet self for a bit, but I’m hoping he’ll find some confidence in himself again and take charge of the situation with having the upper hand that he does now with the knowledge that he knows.
Unless Dr Rocket disabled the device implanted in Thrice or can remotely disable it I doubt he’ll be doing anything. He always knew that Dr Klein and the Third Man were one and the same but it prevented him from doing anything or telling anyone.
Point.
Todd, glad you liked the focus on Harvey. That was Marc’s idea. We threw out most of the visuals I scripted.
I think that one story that Harvey’s face is telling is that while Dr. Rocket is very bad person some people and rabbits still care and like him very much. And that he, in a way, cares about his daughter.
No doubt the two most important beings in the world to Doc are Harvey and Ms. Missile. ‘
Does that make him less of a monster for you?
And now Thrice knows too many secrets. Is there room for another down there?
See Lewis’ comment above.
I don’t think Jerry will worry about Thrice too much right now.
Love love love the different expressions on Harvey’s face. And I love his EARS! š
The ears are the BEST. Harvey looks radically different from how I first drew him, but it’s really for the better.
Rocket will definitely destroy Jerry.
Very, very interested to see where the Doctor and Tom being imprisoned together will go. I don’t know about permission being granted to date his daughter, but I DO smell grudging respect a-comin’, followed by a team-up!
*Mega-Matt watch continues…*
I’m with you, M.M. has to make a comeback soon.
[…] starts now and it occurs to me how this story has suddenly synced up with the current storyline, where Dr. Rocket is similarly imprisoned. Poor guy. At least he’s got […]
Exhaustion should be aersdsded clearly on legislative level in a different way, depending on the specific subject-matter, the nature of the products, the relationship between the product seller and the right-holder (the kind of licence agreements) and other factors. Just compare copyright on imported books (or image on watches) v. copyright on Dali’s ‘The Persistence of Memory’; or Pharma’s trademarks, foodstuff trademarks v. sport ware and mascara trademarks. The present situation does not satisfy and there are too much stakes pledged on the courts to resolve this problem by way of interpretation with unwarranted great expectations. Judges are not capable to focus on these subtleties in trade and economics regarding their background.
I agree. It’s so basic Limited, like nothing has rlelay changed all these years they’ve been around. I do like the second to last look, it’s simple but nothing rlelay jumps out at me like OOOOO gotta rock that!
