I don’t even want to know how long it took Marc to color this little beast. Stunning job though. Maybe SuperFogeys should be an all-silent strip, ala Owly?
Tempting, but… nah, I could never do it.
For the record, the names of the games Space Pig is playing are, in order: Big Gulp O’ Troll, Feed the Dragon, Spear the Knight and Ring of Hellfire.
Now I know what to do if ever I’m confronted by a very strong man named Soviet Sam. Throw stuffed animals at him. He will lose.
I hereby rename the second game “Eat This, Meredith Baxter”.
Good catch! But…not quite as good as you think.
That bear looks oddly familiar…
So… the bear *doesn’t* look familiar?
love the new website! great comic simple and to the point.
if you look Garfield, and Grover are in that pile too.
Glad you approve of the new site! I do spot the Grover. Not sure which bear Chip is talking about…
I see Piglet, Pooh Bear, Grover, and well that could be either Garfield or Tigger… possibly a hefelump?
Man, Marc just amazes me every time I see a new strip up. I love the surrender flag coming up from the pile. At this point Soviet Sam probably wants a new travel buddy. 🙂
Really like the layout and style of the new site Brock.
The surrender flag was Marc’s idea and without it I think the strip would have been really, really weak. This is why I love collaboration. I in no way think I have all the answers about how to make something great. Glad you dig the site, Todd!
Beautiful color in this strip, it just pops. That is all. 🙂
This is HILARIOUS! I’m really glad that we’re getting more Space Pig and Soviet Sam strips. I love those characters. Also, I didn’t realize I had missed a strip. It was actually quite hard to find this new strip on the new site. I had to go to the first strip of the Las Vegas chapter and then keep pressing next until I got here. Maybe I’m doing it wrong? On the Th3rdWorld site the drop down menu allowed us to instantly go to any strip within a chapter. Will the new site offer (or does it already offer but I’ve overlooked) a similar way to easily browse and surf through the archives? Thanks, Brock. 🙂
By the way, the chance to look through the archives of this chapter again reminded me of just how amazing talented that Marc really is. Great job, always! You too, Brock. You’re writing, especially for earlier chapters (I’d say the first 7 or 8 chapters are my favorite), is some great stuff. Anyway, a little anniversary appreciation. I’m pretty busy but I hope to get you some fan art sometime in the future, for the comic’s anniversary celebration or otherwise.
Okay, I found the new site’s drop down archive menu. It’s more helpful than the Chapters Page 🙂
Found it before I got a chance to tell you about it! Yeah, I think you’ll find the new archives pull down useful. The Chapters pages is really for people who don’t know all the stories by heart and want to browse the different plots.
I had to read it over twice before I ‘got it’, but actually I love comics where that’s necessary. There’s so much cool stuff going on here that it’s worth a second look.
A second look at this strip reveals there’s a Garfield-look-alike plushie in the last panel, lol. I remember Garfield and other popular characters – usually bootleg Garfields and others if you know what I mean – always all over fairs and carnivals to win at their game booths when I went as a child.
Poor Sam! He’s such a good sport. I’d love to hang out with him. ^^
Me too. I think Sam would be loyal to a fault.
