INDEPENDENCE DAY!

To my American friends, happy 4th of July, everybody! I’m always so grateful to be living in this country and for the freedoms we have here. I probably take how fortunate and blessed I am for granted too often, so I’m grateful for days like this when I can think back to all that was done and sacrificed to build this nation. Plus, I’m going to the beach. That makes me happy.

VEGAS MEMORIES

You know the last place I’d want to be today? Las Vegas. You don’t really know heat until you’ve been in Vegas in July. My wife and I did it once. We were coming back from Utah, actually, and we’re just supposed to be passing through. Unfortunately, everyone else had the same idea and traffic was backed up for miles. We spent a few hours just outside of Vegas moving just inches every few minutes. The worst part? We had a screaming newborn in the backseat. It was awful. I think it was upwards of 110 degrees. We were unbelievably sweaty and praying our gas and air conditioning wouldn’t run out. Thankfully, it didn’t.

See you on Wednesday with SuperFogeys 331!
