THE END OF CHAPTER 11, THE DOCTOR AND THE DOCTOR

With today’s double-sized strip, Marc takes his art to the next level. I seriously had no idea he was capable of stuff like this when I asked him to hop onboard the SF train. You can imagine how pleased I am. But, honestly, it’s with next week’s strips that he seals and confirms his status as THE SF artist for me. Slow claps, Marc. Big ol’ slow claps.

Do yourself a favor. Read this chapter from the beginning. It plays better that way and it’s short.

This is a short little chapter and I hope you all enjoyed it. It was fun to find a way to tell some backstory that’s been rolling around in my head for a while now. Especially nice to explain Dr. Klein a little more. That really needed to happen leading into the next chapter. Obviously, this chapter points the way towards future SuperFogeys story. You probably think you know what’s coming next. You do. And you don’t. Heh.

Chapter 12 starts out quietly, focusing on the character I keep on getting requests for. No, not Mega Matt. That dude is gone. Done. Over with. Until I inevitably bring him back. No, I’m talking about Soviet Sam. Who doesn’t love Soviet Sam? I’ve been looking for a way to bring him into the strip proper for a while now and I’ve finally figured out how to do it and make it count. With Jerry an out-and-out villain now, I really do need someone else to beat up on. Sam will do nicely.

Chapter 12 will be, hands down, the longest SuperFogeys chapter yet. A LOT will happen. If I were still drawing the strip, it would have taken a full year to get through it. Thanks to Marc, it’ll unspool over the next six months. How nice is that? 

Look for the Fogeys to leave Valhalla early on in the chapter. Where are they headed? Vegas, baby! And no one is more excited about this than Captain Spectacular. Frustrated with the serious tone of SF lately? (I haven’t heard complaints, but still…) Chapter 12 is gonna have it all: comedy, tragedy, action…and the return of some old favorites. Did someone say Bingo Knight? No one did, but I will. BINGO KNIGHT!

Chapter 12…this is THE big one. As Jerry says at one point in the chapter. "For the first time in my life I don’t know what’s going to happen next, but I do know one thing…"

Jerry? Jerry, what’s the one thing? Jerry? Jerry!!?? WHAT IS THE ONE THING??

Ah, dang it. That’s too spoilery.
