THE LAST REGULAR SUPERFOGEYS STRIP OF 2009

Way to go out, right? If you haven’t already seen the SuperFogeys 2010 teaser poster, I’d suggest doing so now. As you can see, it’s going to pay off sooner than you think.

BUT NEVER FEAR, MUCH MORE SUPERFOGEYS CONTENT ON THE WAY!

Next week will once again see THREE SuperFogeys updates. The Origin tale “Harvey the Science Rabbit, Part One” will wrap up with pages 4 and 5 on Tuesday and Wednesday. (If you have check out the first three pages yet, you can catch up by starting right here.) Then, on Thursday–Christmas Eve–be sure and stop by for a special SuperFogeys Christmas Greeting. It’ll be way better than last year’s, I promise.

GUEST STRIPPIN’ XMAS DEADLINE DRAWS NEAR!

Then–and this is the part I’m really excited about–starting Monday, December 28th, Guest Strippin’ Xmas! I’ll be running one great guest strip after another for the next one or two weeks after Christmas until I run out! So far I’ve gotten 7 entries, but there’s still room for more and there’s still time to submit if you’re interested in participating. I know there’s a few of you still out there that have told me you want to submit and I’d still love to get your entries. Deadline is Dec. 22nd. Here’s the specs one more time:

• Would prefer that all guest strips be set during the Valhalla years, but if you’ve got a killer idea for the Fogeys in their younger days, have at it.

• Funny is good.

• Strips will run at 800 pixels across.  Please send that size or larger.  I can always scale down, but never up.

• Spy Gal naked is bad.

• Please include “SuperFogeys (copyright symbol) 2009 Brock Heasley” underneath the strip.

• Include your name, name of your comic (if you have one) and website url (if you have one) and whatever biographical information you’d like to see posted with your strip. Promoting you is my thank you, so please make sure I have my facts straight!

• One more time, the deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 22nd

• Pantsless Captain Spectacular is encouraged. However, please keep in mind that no one wants see more than a hairy man thigh. You’ve been warned (Racine).

IF YOU’RE OVER 30, DON’T STAY UP FOR 24 HOURS

This is the hard lesson I learned yesterday. As you know, I’ve been sick this week. I made the mistake of sleeping til noon on Tuesday, and then later that night I could sleep. At all. So, I finally just gave up and went to work at 3am, getting off just before noon on Wednesday.  I don’t think I had a lot of choice there (It was either got to work at 8am on no sleep, or at 3am), but it was not my favorite thing.

Because of that, I was mostly MIA yesterday as I grabbed whatever sleep I could in the afternoon. I’ll be responding to yesterday’s SFO comments as soon as I wrap up this post. My apologies.
