There’s a kid with a gun.  The kid’s a villain though, so I’m asking you to go with it.
There’s not much funny about gun violence. This isn’t the place to really get into it, but my life has certainly been affected by gun violence on more than one occasion. My feeling is that if someone pulls out a gun then that’s a big deal and should be treated as such. This is really just about recognizing that. I’m not trying to make any big statement here, just giving the weapon the weight and gravity it deserves.  Hence the blood and the reactions.
It was important to me that the impact of this be felt because the fallout of this will be long felt.
