THIS DEPRESSING MOMENT IN THE LIFE OF SOVIET SAM BROUGHT TO YOU BY…

T.L. Collins! Blame him if the rest of your day is a bummer because of this. He was the one who wanted to do a Soviet Sam story.

(But seriously, how perfectly is he nailing the emotion of these scenes? Just great stuff. Be sure and check out T.L’s own comic while you surf those internets today.)

I WROTE A THING. POSTED IT.

This will be online for a limited time only, so check it out now or never. About a year and half ago I announced I’d be producing less SuperFogeys in order to concentrate on this book I’m writing–a memoir. That’s how SuperFogeys Origins was born. I’m pleased to report that I can actually see the completion of first draft just around the corner.

As I was doing a pass on one of the latest chapters, part of it struck me as something that would make a good excerpt for sharing. Believe it or not, I’m asked all the time for peeks at the book. Weird, I know. Here’s a look:

BUILDING A BUFFER BACKWARDS

I’ve decided I want to make a big deal about the end of the current chapter of SuperFogeys, Head Games. As such, I’m working hard on building a buffer so that when those final strips hit I can run them daily. Well, weekdaily. More than twice a week.

I’ve already penciled out the triple-sized big finish and will start work on the penultimate strip soon. That’s right, I’m building a buffer backwards. For some reason, psychologically, it’s easier that way. Tell your friends now. SuperFogeys is about to become a really big deal.

See you on Thursday with SuperFogeys 263!
