THE TROUBLE WITH SOVIET SAM PAGE 3

So…you may have noticed that this page is missing some colors and some elements of the panels seem out of whack. T.L. and I regret bringing the page to you this way, but we figured this was better than no page at all.

The sad truth is that T.L. is actually AHEAD in his drawing of the Soviet Sam story. To make a very long story short, T.L. has experience multiple computer and customer service problems, NONE of which are his fault, and they prevented him from having any digital interaction with this page beyond what you see above. As such, there are multiple errors on this page and, in the case of panels 1 and 4, entire images missing. Still, I think you get the idea.

Rest assured that the computer issues will be cleared up soon and this page will be promptly updated as soon as possible. Be sure and check back later for that or follow me on Twitter and I’ll tell you as soon as it happens.

As for the content of this page…a gold star to whomever can correctly and precisely identify where we might have seen some of this before… (And let’s see a link!)

10-YEAR ANNIVERSARY

My wife and I will celebrate our 10-year anniversary of being married a month from today. These have been hands down the happiest 10 years of my life, and that’s due entirely to her and to our two girls. But these have also been years filled with some of the harshest heartbreaks of my life (which I’ve talked about before, so I won’t tread that territory again), and getting through that has been a whole ‘nother kind of accomplishment.

I guess that’s why I didn’t feel even a little bit bad that I persuaded Erin to exchange anniversary gifts with me on Saturday. We’d bought them way in advance and it seemed silly not to. We friggin’ deserved it, alright? I got her a spectacular pendant and chain she’s had her eye on. I’m against the purchasing of jewelry on principle (if you want shiny things, there’s always river rocks), but it was important to her and this is a big anniversary, so…love and money wins.

As for me…I now have concrete evidence that I have the best wife on the planet. What is this evidence, you ask? Why the Complete Battlestar Galactica (New Series) on Blu-ray. I can’t tell you how excited I was when I opened that sucker up. It’s a brick! A brick of sci-fi goodness that was the jewelry reluctance equivalent for my wife to purchase.

I really can’t recommend marriage enough.

See you on Thursday with SuperFogeys 260!
