Look, if you were trapped in a vegetative state for years and years, I don’t care what else was going on, you’d seek out your favorite food, too.
See you on Wednesday with 842 – Someone to Hit!

There’s an interesting symmetry at play here. Both Thrice Evils have been trapped in a state where their every effort is futile. Avalon Thrice may have had more agency, but ultimately they were both characters whose every action had been rendered moot. But now both Thrices have been released into a world where they can do whatever they want.
What’s really interesting is that each Thrice does the same thing when it happens: he stops what he’s doing and takes a moment to indulge himself.
This is such a great observation. I can’t say it was intended–so much of the character work is based on gut–but it rings really true to me. Thrice is a guy who indulges, on any world. Wonderful.
We all have to eat, right ?
I mean, of course. I sure do!
Don’t know what are those but I would like to try them
You’ve never tried Sugar Floofs? They’re the best! (For our world equivalent, please see Sno Balls)
If I was released from my vegetative state and given a buff body with no physical therapy effort, I would definitely Dance all of the way to eating my favorite food. And then go for a nice swim.
I like it and I co-sign.
For me, it would probably be pizza. But DEEP DISH pizza. Or Italian Beef.
I wonder if Abaddon-Thrice is still the sort of evil being that he used to be these days. After all, even though Jerry kept him docillated, the others treated him just like one of the other residents of the Home for the Super-Tired. Probably played checkers with him, or whatever. He might well want to rip Jerry’s head off, but does he really still harbor hatred for, say, Soviet Sam? Or Swifty, who ALSO hates Jerry? I mean, Maxim #29 notwithstanding, has Avalon-Thrice read him correctly?
I don’t predict this comic…but I think about these things. If I were him, I’d be interested in getting ahold of the gadget Jerry used to keep him weak and docile…well, keep it in a box made from Jerry’s SKULL…but I’d probably also resent Avalon-Thrice a whole bunch. After all, Avalon-Thrice only enlarged him because it suited Avalon-Thrice’s purposes. Not because of any “brotherly” sentiment, or he would have done it a LOT SOONER. Abaddon-Thrice has more in common NOW with the other Fogeys than he does with his five-fingered counterpart.
After all, Maxim #49 is a thing that exists.
Darn it to heck, that was supposed to be #47. I plead fatigue.
(Maxim #49 does still fit, but Maxim #47 is moreso.)
