Best origin ever… very tragic though

I feel betrayed with no alien/radioactive bug bite involved on the origin of this hero. Maybe the Canadians feed him with thousands of radioactive flies?
I like to think that’s implied. Who knows what those crazy Canadians did to him??
Pretty sure this isn’t the origin story you posted for Fly a few years back. I suppose this could be a retcon, but given Fly’s sense of humor and the look on Cap’s face, I’m gonna guess he’s just deflecting.
Plus, this is just Joker, Punisher, and Wolverine’s backstories stitched together.

Hmm…I honestly can’t recall ever doing any sort of story about Atomic Fly’s origin, but this world is so big now and with so many characters I suppose it’s possible I’ve just forgotten. If you’ve got a link, share it!
And yeah…three dark backstories stitched together is EXACTLY the sort of things Atomic Fly might do to deflect. But is he? We may never know.

Wow! Your memory is incredible. I had completely forgotten about that. But yes, given Fly’s particular brand of humor…I think we can safely say all possible origins are still in play.
But, besides all that, I’d say that only what appears in the comics is truly canon.
In other words: the world may never know Atomic Fly’s true origins…or it already does.

And here I was thinking you would have said Atomic Fly’s real name is Elon Muskiday, son of Dr Muskiday who was the head of a major Research and Development department of a successful corporation that provides targeted solutions for the modern independent entrepreneur.
His father, sadly, was a human/fly hybrid created when his head was melded to an unsuspecting janitor who mistook some of the doctors equipment for a trash can.
