Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody! My wife HATES Valentine’s, so this is quite the relaxing day for me.
THE BATTLE OF FRESNO
It’s long been hinted at and talked about… but it’s finally time for Soviet Sam to talk about the tragedy of the Battle of Fresno. Just… not right away. In this chapter though, for sure. Get ready.
TOY GIRL
So, if you have or know a kid under a certain age, then you know how big of a deal toy videos are on YouTube. They’re HUGE for my daughter Violet. So much so she wanted to try her hand at one. All I have is an iPhone at the moment, but I’ve got some decent editing skills and Violet, as it turns out, is a natural on camera. I’m so proud of her! If you’re curious, you can check out her channel right here.
See you on Monday with 764 – Meanwhile, Inside Dr. Rocket’s Bedchamber!
“Ignore him” – yep, definitely safe advice, no possibility that this might lead to any complications down the line.
You would be surprised how many people genuinely feel “ignore” is an operational, effective way of dealing with conflict. I have talked to many.
So, so many people ignore things, I second Brock.
Though at the moment this is possibly good advice for Soviet Sam, Alt Sam just means ignore and the B.S. Jerry just hurled at him (I think). Which is good, Sam doesn’t need to take that to heart, and Soviet Sam isn’t really the person who should take care of Jerry anyway.
I do believe that Spy Gal is not ignoring Jerry and she will make sure to take care of him… somehow. Though Alt Sam should not think of Jerry as a ‘kid’, he’s gotta be in his sixties or seventies by now, that ship has sailed.
Finally revealing what went on the battle for Fresno? I love it! Been wondering about that for years!
(BTW, where is the pillatian power crystal? Still in Jerry’s hands?)
The long hiatuses between chapters do make it hard to remember, but the Pilatian Power Crystal is right where the Fogeys left it: http://superfogeys.com/2015/08/03/664-too-old-to-drive/
And yes… it has unfortunately been years (in our time) since the Battle of Fresno was first mentioned, but the answers are just a handful of strips away!
Huzzah battle of Fresno!
So, uh, I’m working at a place that studies Los Angeles’s water system (I am from the MidWest so I find this fascinating) including the California Aqueduct. There is a ton of infrastructure in the state that needs to be regularly maintained (Hello Orville Dam!). So what I’m picturing after a terrific civil war and an embattled new government, without the pumping and constant water diversions that the San Joaquin valley may returned to it’s quasi shallow inland sea status? Is Sacramento flooded and returned to a semi-saline delta area?
Uhhh… you are outside my realm of expertise. But, if you’ll recall… Los Angeles doesn’t actually exist anymore in the current SF continuity.
