Double-sized strips return! Marc decided to pull out all the stops for this one, and it shows. I don’t think he gets enough credit for his stellar work on this comic. Without him, I simply wouldn’t have been able to giving SF the scope it now has. This is pretty mild, as double-sized strips go–it’s just three people in a room–but look at what Marc does with it!
And with that, we bid adieu to Mega Matt (and Gina Galloway, for that matter). Will he return?
I mean, you did READ the strip, didn’t you? Even a not-so-careful reading can’t miss the hints at the future being dropped here. In fact, I’ll just go ahead and say it: when SF is all said and done, you’ll look back on this strip as your first clue to what we’ve been planning for the endgame all along. Have fun with that teaser!
See you on Monday with 744 – The USZ is Truly a Wondrous Place!
Goodbye Gina, we hardly knew ye. Will we see Magus again?
Does this end with alien bears who haves lasers for teeth!?! My fingers are crossed!
I’m sure we’ll see T-Magus again at some point.
Laser teeth!
So… is there some reason she couldn’t just wait until she wasn’t almost dead to do this? Can she only send people back in time so far?
In a story that moves this fast with this many characters, I don’t always have enough time to speak to little things like this. My basic thought was this: Gina has been separated from Mega Matt until now and hasn’t really had the chance. Also, she knew she was dying and took the opportunity to take a peek into time to see what’s what.
Welp…that wasn’t at ALL cryptic.
Not remotely!
What the ?!? Gina is gone with that last burst of time travel energy bubbles ?
Mega Matt is an inspiration to someone in the past ?
This feels like more questions than answers to this one ?
1. Yes.
2. Not necessarily.
3. Yep! Fun, right?
