If you’re a longtime fan you know today’s strip carries a lot of weight. This is, of course, the Money Man from an alternate dimension, but it’s also the Money Man we’ve spent the most time with. It’s a grisly death, but even more than the admittedly visceral impact of that last panel, it’s the impact this death will have on the Fogeys–and Sam in particular–that should resonate as we go forward.
“Death and Destruction.” That’s the title of this chapter. And we mean it.
See you on Wednesday with 708 – “Don’t Worry, He’s Okay”
MM, not again!
Yes, again.
RIP Alt. Money Man
Poor Sam. Now he’ll have two Money Men on his conscience.
Not a great day for him, for sure. Last time, Sam fell down a hole of self-pity that lasted for 60 years. This time…?
Righteousness is always equipped to fight its own battles.
(gets hit by his rocket-powered fist)
Gaaaaahhh!!! I stand corrected…
You joke at a time like this? That’s cold… so cold…
Not again. Poor Sam that’s two Money Men dead on his watch.
This is going to torture his mental state forever. š
Oh no! D:
Oh yes.
Two words: Vibranium* Helmet.
*or the equivalent there of. . .
Too late.
Hey, Sam TRIED. Money Man refused the help. There’s a difference. Sam himself didn’t hurt the man this time. That’s on Alt Tangerine.
This time, I hope Sam realizes that the time is over for self-flagellation and starts flagellating the ones who REALLY DID IT. Starting with Alt Tangerine. I hope he stuffs Alt Tangerine right up Starbrighter’s tuchis, and ties those arms in a knot around Starbrighter’s neck like a bowtie.
Because bowties are cool.
Oh holy crap. Also yes. Don’t forget- fezes are cool too.
Good points. This is a very different circumstance from the first time around with Money Man. But I have a feeling Sam will have a hard time making the distinction.
I saw this coming last strip but forgot to comment! The telekinetic attachments were something I didn’t expect (I thought Tangerine would be headbutting MM to death) Is that something abbadon Tangerine could do while in the prison at Valhalla? Move his limb at distance? BTW, great job as always both Brock and Marc
This is definitely not something “our” Tangerine can do. Along with having two metal arms, the Avalon Tangerine has some significant upgrades.
And… thanks!
