One of the things noted in a recent comment (forgive me for not remembering who said it) was that this storyline is making SuperFogeys the inverse of the “mirror universe” trope in which alternate realities are generally worse. That’s pretty much exactly right, as today’s strip makes abundantly clear. You guys are so smart.

Speaking of Zurida, I have scoured the site searching for an alt version of her and cant find her nor Percy. I would assume that Money Man spoke of her not just because of what she has done here, but knows her in his own time. In fact, let me do a bit of.. backwards thinking… more to due with relookign at the wives of Captain Spectacular
His first wife Samantha Roberts was killed by Dr Rocket.. So she wasnt in Earth Avalon. Something else killed her instead, as she and CS were in real love
His second wife was Betty.. (who cheated on him, bet that happend in EA too
Third wife was star maiden (due to dimention reasons) Not sure if that happened, or Star Maiden by this time was with alt-Soviet Sam. Did CS and SG have a fling that didnt go anywhere in EA?
WIfe 4 is interesting. as it is Zurida. Question becomes this.. Did changes thrice evil do to the past create an entire universe where edict has switched? I can almost see this wife 4 never happene din EA because Zurida is a good queen on her world. (whos to say the edict of chaos only affected one planet)
Wife 5 (Michelle) killed by Thrice Evil in EA, and trapped by Zurida in our world. THis is why i dont think Zurida is evil in EA…She wasnt chasing CS (HEY WHERES TOM!)
Wife 6 Lynette… Taking care of her is something I see CS in EA doing…..
Errr who he married to now? Im findign there is actually more parallels than not. One would assume a massive change in beginning of time woudl cause so many more differences.
Its almost as if the Universe our CS is in is constanty trying to repair itself, but the edict of chaos keeps damaging it.

Earth-Avalon has many secrets and histories to share, but sadly we won’t be getting to all of them. I can tell you that one of the wives mentioned above will be making an appearance in this chapter. Very soon now.
Still, if you want to enlist the aid of the heroes on Earth Abbadon you probably shouldn’t be crapping all over the their work. It’s horribly impolite. Especially since they’ve been working with, what is apparently, a severe handicap that was imposed on them by the heroes failure on Earth Avalon.

Indeed, one of the best things of super fogeys is that you take the time to read, comment with your fans. That gives a whole different experience
I’m hoping it will get easier again. I really enjoy it, but every day my schedule is just so out of whack. I was at the same job for 12 years. I had my breaks and work patterns down. This is a whole new ballgame, but I’m out here and I will still be commenting (hopefully in a more timely manner).
Look, it may be bad, but don’t be so pessimistic. It could be worse! And probably will be! Wait, I’m making things worse.
