I’m INCREDIBLY excited for what this strip is leading into. One thing we used to do a lot of around here is flashbacks. Been a while since we had a good one, but that’s about to change in a big way. You want to know stuff?
You will know stuff.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Because of scheduling conflicts there will not be a new SuperFogeys Origins this Friday. Never fear! We’ll be back the week after. Thanks for your patience.
I don’t know why this thought occurred to me after reading this panel. Maybe it was finding out some of the full extent of jerry’s abilities. Maybe it was thinking about the portal maker that was killed (who originated from earth Avalon). I’m somehow uncomfortable even posting it here. I mean, I don’t -really- think the theory is correct. But I don’t want to be correct.
I think I’ll simply repeat an often said phrase: Nobody is ever the villain in their own mind.
Jerry with new powers. Hmmm . . . .
I don’t know if anyone else has already guessed this, but I’m thinking that the (alternate) Money man knows about Jerry’s true power because (alternate) Jerry was the one that allowed him to come through in the first place. Unfortunatly, I’m pretty sure (alternate) Jerry is now dead or otherwise unavailable, so (alternate) Money Man now needs (not alternate) Jerry.
Simple!
I think so. I assumed that Money Man-Avalon meant a Jerry when he spoke about “th Portalmaker”.
There’s another possibility.
A bunch of heroes sitting on the sidewalk in front of their headquarters.
So that means thai avalon jerry is dead
I still can’t shake the feeling it might not be the best idea to just allow the avalonians access to “our” world…. But I guess there’s nothing to do but wait and see!
I usually don’tyeall out “I saw it coming!” but this time… well I did. ^^
Aha!! So I WAS right about Avalon Jerry being the portal maker!!
If y’all are correct about Jerry being the portalmaker, I wonder if the men from the 3rd World Comics group who specifically told Jerry to NEVER tell anyone about said ability did so to protect him so he would be available for back-up now?
But that aside, I am amused by the fact that even after the time skip, this comic really is all about Jerry. It’s like it’s getting back to its roots. Minus the funny.
