One of Marc’s artistic high watermarks has got to be the Donutron destruction of Las Vegas. That’s a sequence that also took place at night. I think Marc is just really good at nighttime stuff, and this strip is no exception. The colors sing.
This chapter is about to get down to brass tacks. You want to know stuff? Oh, you will KNOW STUFF.
Reminder! SuperFogeys is now available on Comixology. The first one is free, the second issue is just 99 cents. I don’t think we could make it easier to dive in if we tried.
Spygal. Dear, sweet Spygal. At this point the question you need to ask is:” What -hasn’t- he done?”
Also, the relationship between the Captains Spectacular is looking promising.
“The Captains Spectacular.” I like that.
i love how spy gal automatically assumes the worst. did the story ever mention why she married the little psycho?
Uuh…. Yes, yes it did. Didn’t you read the whole comic?
It’s in Chapter 12, at the end just before they get married. Jerry stepped up in a big way, and Spy Gal was swept off her feet. She has an impulsive side.
A better question is why is she still married to him.
He used trickery. Better questions are, why did they let Jerry out of his cell and are divorce proceedings only delayed due to much bigger problems circling overhead?
“Trickery” would be the other way of looking at it.
Donut-Tron. There’s a hyphen. :p
But yeah. His nighttime scenes a pretty darned tight. Love the color blend and flow.
Now Percy knows how his super strength makes everyone else feel. š Great face there.
The face was a Marc addition. I love it.
The little hair flip was a nice touch too. Musta really clapped him.
Well, warm fuzzy bit over. Jerry ruins it without even being there.
He’s THAT powerful.
Percy looks like Invader Zim in that 2nd panel. *lol*
Ha! He does, a bit.
I personally would have gone with Bagelbot, but Donutron works too.
A missed opportunity, for sure.
Weird, when I first saw the comic on my phone, I thought SpyGal’s dialogue in panel 3 was coming from Soviet Sam and she was just watching. I don’t know why. It was probably late or early and I wasn’t very focused. Oddly enough the dialogue would have still worked just fine.
No, I didn’t think it was still from Sam in panel 4. Although now that I think about it, that would be oddly hilarious to me. I mean c’mon, Jerry’s just not Sam’s type.
To set your mind at ease, Scott, I only noticed this morning that I forgot to put in the tail to Spy Gal’s balloon in the third panel. So, I added it in hoping no one would notice. Looks like I failed.
You’re not crazy, is my point.
