Another beautiful effort by Marc, treading over ground we just covered last week. I try to think of interesting ways to put in bits of action here and there (always with a purpose–this strip also gets Cap right past all the powerless stuff he was saddled with during the Invasion) because Marc is so great at it. I also think this is one of those gags will probably play a lot better in the collected edition where it won’t play the like the cheap payoff to a cliffhanger and will instead be just exactly what I intend it to be–a small gag.
Speaking of collected editions–don’t forget SuperFogeys is now on Comixology! Issue 3 coming soon!
Can’t make the scene if you ain’t got the green.
I have no idea what this means.
Oh, I get it now. The detox is green. Duh.
Oh, you did not just shoot that green $#!t at me!
What if it turns him into the Hulk? That would be okay, right?
I always wondered what the Hulk would look like in his senior years. I imagine an Ć¼ber-strong, although decrepit-looking, green giant with a walker, a bad back, Alzheimer’s disease, and the biggest pair of Depends known to mankind. Ain’t NOBODY wants to clean up Hulk leavings!
Nice flashback scene. š
Stealth flashback, but yeah. Really, with a strip format, it’s extremely difficult to show two things happening at once. So you gotta improvise.
Your escape options are: crawl through the sewers, fight the invincible army, or get injected with the addictive, experimental serum.
Serum, right? I feel like the answer is serum.
I like the flying bills in the background ^^
Oh my gosh! I didn’t even notice that!
Too cool, Marc.
This makes me wonder about the year of torture and everything the Dr. Rocket did to Wilbur. I know the Money Man said Cap had been “humbled”, but was he completely de-powered?
Yeah, they took a ship, but for the Money Man, I would think travel by Captain is rather ‘undignified’.
