We’re getting pretty deep into One Year Later here and we’ve almost caught up with all the characters to see their new status quo. Obviously, there’s a promise in the last panel that Monday’s strip will fulfill. I can’t wait for you guys to see it.
Anybody else seeing Captain America: The Winter Soldier this weekend? If you haven’t read the actual story in the comics, it’s more than worth checking out. Maybe my fave Cap story, period. Trying to stay spoiler-free, so if our overseas friends out there have already seen it, please don’t reveal anything! All I wanna know is: did you like it?

Interesting info, but I do wonder hour does Percy feel about all of this fighting that his mom is doing to cause him to switch sides ?
Considering he’s switched sides, I think he may have reached the usual teenage rebellion against the parents, so I don’t think he agrees with his mother.
Actually, I’m not sure how old he is. Still, you’re never to old to rebel against your parents!

Winter Soldier was a fun watch with some great interplay between the main cast. I wouldn’t rate it as highly as Brubaker’s original comic story if I’m being honest but it had some nice touches and good moments for just about everyone on the cast. I also didn’t realise until the end that it sneakily introduced another one of Captain America’s long term enemies, mainly because I can never remember their regular name.
Good to know! Thanks, Lewis! Brubaker and Epting’s original is a true classic. If it falls a little short of that I’m okay with that.
I had the feeling Percy would side with the good guys. What I like it more about this is Michelle’s face, I agree with billydaking, they complement each other as mother/son. I wonder what is a JVD Design, the words of the Cape of Wrath referring to acronyms just echoed in my head….
JVD Design is a Marc Lapierre Easter Egg special. I know SOMEBODY out there who’s up on their superhero lore can figure this one out.

Not surprised about Percy’s side at all but him getting to be the yellow/blue crusader is nice touch.
I’m just waiting to see if we’ll see Percy and Ms. Missile in the same strip (which could be very interesting relationship) or maybe we will see Ms. Missile later on.
It’s been a long, long time since we’ve seen Ms. Missile. I do plan to get back to her before the story is all over though.

Dude needed to be humanized a bit. One of the great things about Avengers comics from a couple years ago were those moments when the team realized Spider-Man is actually a genius despite all the wisecracks. Love that stuff. Even jokesters have a serious side.
