For those of you keeping score at home, we haven’t seen Tangerine since a couple chapters back. Everyone forgets about the incarcerated. Even still, Tangerine’s journey is one of my favorites. As you can see, he’s been making his way through that stack of books Captain Emo gave him ages ago. Come back on Wednesday to find out what he’s learnin’.
Big SuperFogeys Role-playing Game news fast approaching…
Book of Mormon eh? Wonder if he has the companion guides too?
Companion guides?
Wow, even after they tell him that his son is dead and he still will not help them. š
Then what will make Tangerine fight for justice again ? š
Why fight if there’s nobody to fight for?
But that’s not the reason why Tangerine isn’t fighting.
You’ll find out his reason very, very soon.
Oh bloody…Tangerine, now is not the time to become a blasted pacifist. Ignites a lightsaber… C’mon, I’ll race ya!
Who knew Tangerine wears glasses?
He donned them a few chapters back, but yeah, mostly we’ve seen him without them. If you track Tangerine’s appearances, you’ll notice he’s slowly transformed over time. Can you spot all the changes?
Who gave him the garb? Also, is he normally that clean shaven?
No explanation for the robe has been given, but you’re corrected about his facial hair. See my comment directly above.
Just read book about Finnish Minister of Defence after WW 2 who declared not to write any contracts that dealt military and such (one of the reasons why he wasn’t politician too long). Before that he was sentenced to death during Finnish Civil War even though he was trying to make peace between the battling sides, but civil wars are just brutal. Was pacifist through his life.
He was also the first person to write book about Zen Buddhism in Finland. And was interested in theosophy and religions.
Probably bigger “superhero” than Tangerine here. Even if Tangerine is getting there. š
Sounds like a fascinating man. Definitely a bigger superhero than Tangerine. But you never know where Tangerine is gonna end up…
Everybody is a bigger superhero than Tangerine.
I mean … he’s what? Five foot three or something?
I knew Tangerine was taking a different approach to his future steps, but never to this extreme. I still have great hope that the fire inside him had not been fully extinguished and that something will kick him into gear.
Sure, you hope that NOW. Let’s not forget what an active Tangerine can do!
When I first saw that stack of Tomes I recognised and had studied most of them, with the exception of “Tipitaka”. Though I was intrigued, I neglected to look it up at the time. But today learned from Wikipedia that it should be spelled Tripitaka Tripitaka .
Thought you’d like to know in case you want to fix that page.
I would love to fix it, but I constructed those titles in a weird way that’s hard to revisit, so I think I’ll probably leave it. I based my spelling on the research I did at the time and that was the spelling I found. Perhaps there’s more than one way? I dunno.
