I did it. I did a strip with no males in it. In one sense, I really like writing women. It’s different and it’s fun to get outside of myself like that. On the other hand…I”m no woman. There’s a lot going on here. Star Maiden is obviously not on the same page as Spy Gal. The “Harry Hamlin” line is a reference to the reality show “Dancing with the Stars” of which Star Maiden is clearly a fan. My goal with this strip was to quickly resolve the SG/SM feud and to do it in an unexpected way. Comments by the readers confirmed that no one saw that hug coming. This is something that doesn’t really get picked up on for the rest of this chapter, but that will reverberate in successive chapters, particularly in Chapter 5.
