I gotta say… I did not expect this chapter to be this long. 44 strips. That ranks it among the very longest of chapters. I think in that you can see the scope of this Invasion storyline. Everything you’ve seen so far… everything in Part One… it’s all been setup for what’s to come. I noticed the comments getting on the low end at times, and I think it was because of that. There are some great moments in this chapter and I don’t mean to knock it or the amazing, detailed work Marc did drawing it, but I knew it’s function going in was to put the pieces in place. And boy, are they. In case you’re not catching on, the premise of the SuperFogeys has just been upended. I’ve always joked that SuperFogeys is the tale of inaction heroes, but there’s always been more truth to that than comedy. But Spy Gal’s statement in the above strip marks a real line in the sand. The Fogeys are not going to stand idly by any more. They can’t. They can’t just do nothing. And that’s why I’ve chosen to call the next chapter…
CHAPTER 15 – INVASION, PART TWO: INACTION HEROES NO MORE!

it’s about time super knocker grew a pair!!! Soviet sam and spy gal seem the most eager! and the look on jerry’s face he needs to be worrying now more then ever! I’m anxious to see how this ties into the past strips and where it all goes!!!
I wouldn’t worry too much about the low comment count, Brock- for the reasons you’ve said, and that, for once in the SF storyline… we had a chapter that wa slargely straightforward. Little scheming, little doubt. If : A, then: B.
I’m willing to bet we’re all still here- we’re just devouring each strip, and moving forward to the next , yea verily, ITCHING to see what’s going to happen next.
Or maybe that’s just me. 😀
In any case: CS II- I don’t see the mystery as being “Is he dead” but as “What is he going to *do*?”, and that, dear Sir, is a fascinating question of the shiftless bum indeed.
I feel like it might be a bit wrong how excited I am at the prospect of seeing Fly Guy in action. Same goes for crazy yellow 80s sunglasses Man.
Count me as another one of the mega Matt faithful. We will keep the candles burning, and the beats fresh, yo.
Fly Guy, Fly-on-the-Wall,…whatever his name is, yes, I want to see him do something. Same with the dude with shutter glasses. Also, is that guy on the right wearing a medal with the state of Texas on it?

Oh, and Tyler… that’s not a medal with the State of Texas. It’s an amulet with the nose of Awonawilona. (The Zuni sun god, duh.)
Oh, and Holaved… thanks for that. You’re right. This was a bit more straightforward. I think the next one will be too, but much fun will be had. There’s payoffs coming I’ve been waiting a long time for.
Holy gathering of heroes Batman….still I wonder if there are any “younger” Heroes left, who are retried, but aren’t at the Home yet, that could help out in the fight ? 🙁
Still, who knew the place hold that many “Old” guard heroes. 😀
“That’s not the script! Take him away!” The exclamation marks ruined it. I could appreciate a dictator who casually admitted his puppets were reading scripts while the cameras were rolling, but not one who blurts it out under pressure.
Nurse Carter’s there. Is she going to help them fight too? I’d trust her more than Gene.
I think that is the most pleased I have seen Soviet Sam in a while. 🙂
LOVE IT!! Soviet Sam is so ready to get out there and prove that he has HERO potential. Go Sam Go! I want to see you and Spy Gal leading the pack, y’all appear to be the only ones eager to get this battle started.

Spy Gal vs. Zurida, hell. I wanna see Zurida vs. Michelle Masters. Yeah, I went there. Take Zurida’s powers away from her and de-statuefy Michelle and I think Michelle might have a few choice words for Zurida. Like “oh, gee, are those your TEETH on the floor? No?” *CRUNCH* “How about now? Make ME a statue will you? Do you have any idea how undignified it is to have pigeons crap on you for the better part of a generation? I came to with GUM IN MY EAR, dang it!”
Oh yes. That would be choice. They gotta wrestle. There’s like, a law or something.
This is going to be soo good. You two have built up the action and suspense in the last few strips nicely. I have no idea how things are going to play out but it will be awesome. And as the local radio station says “There is no charge for awesomeness!!!”
Bring on the comeback of M.M., we the few, the faithful fans will stand vigilant for his triumphant return.
Somehow Mega Matt is going to turn out to be the super hero of all super heroes. I just know he will.
