I’m honestly SHOCKED it took this many comments for someone to spot that.
I noticed it the first read through, but I just didn’t really consider mentioning it, really. Anyway, even I used those news tickers in the news panels in my own comic. They’re fun.
I agree, I thought it was pretty obvious, even BEFORE the ticker ran, that CS2 wouldn’t die. He was the only one to get punched, and punch-deaths are extremely rare in most media.

I read the comic this morning but had to get to work, the direction is getting very interesting and the news snippets on the bottom tell a lot in a few words.
Of course I’m still holding out hope that I’ll get to see M.M. make an appearance again in this comic.
Just wanted to ask. Are the news panels there an homage to Frank Miller’s artwork? Perhaps from The Dark Knight Returns? He used similar panels for news like that.
No I think they’ve used this style before for news casts.
