How could the Space Monkeys be anything but the Wookiees of the SF universe? Bet ya didn’t see Zurida as the Han Solo.
Remember Spy Gal’s solo mission to Zurida’s Palace? Check out the four page, mostly silent tour de force right here!

With the facial markings it’s always hard to tell if Zurida is crying or not.
zurida never cries. so thats easy.
i was thinking that she has stayed pretty fit considering her age. of course she is an alien, but she has to be pretty much human for her to be able to have a son with CS
There is an astonishing amount of detail in that first panel. Also, I’m wondering what happens if you take off a space monkey’s halo headband…
Their brains fall out. Probably.
The “halos” appear to be inspired by depictions of the monkey-king Sun Wukong (Son Goku) from the Chinese story A Journey to the West by Wu Cheng’en.
Wikipedia states, “Sun’s behavior is checked by a band placed around his head by Guanyin, which cannot be removed by Sun Wukong himself until the journey’s end. Xuanzang can tighten this band by chanting the “Ring Tightening Mantra” (taught to him by Guanyin) whenever he needs to chastise him. The spell is referred to by Xuanzang’s disciples as the “Headache Sutra”, which is the Buddhist mantra “oṃ maṇipadme hūṃ”. Xuanzang speaks this mantra quickly in repetition.”
With Zurida as their master, those monkeys must be in constant fear of migraines or worse.
If I had hair like hers, I would hide things in there. Like candy. And secrets.
Yes, candy! But I bet it’s a wig.
I’d have compared the Space Monkeys of SF to the Winged Monkeys of Oz, personally.
I got that! I … I got that reference.
Brock, the dialogue makes Zurida seem more like Darth Vader than Han Solo. And Captain is her Luke…
Michelle is the frozen Han Solo.
