366 – Who Dares?

that brings up a GREAT point…since she obviously seems to have no recollection of her space cadet time…last time she was coherent her and the captain had a history…is this going to carry over between her and spy gal now that she gave cap the ring back…..?!?!

Interesting thought. Ends justifying the means, perhaps?

I theorized that LONG before we discovered that The Third Man was Jerry. But, however, I now believe that although “fixing” the Fogeys and bringing them back to their glory days is EXACTLY what may happen as a result of Jerry’s ne’er-do-well ways, I now believe that this is completely and totally by sheer ACCIDENT. lol. (And not necessarily a return to the glory days, but more-so giving the characters’ major healing and closure. A happier ending). I was more impressed with Jerry’s diabolical plan before we found out that it was actually several dozen mini-plans that all backfired and he went on to the next plan. He went from super-genius master plan maker in my mind to Wile E. “help me, there’s a boulder on my head” Coyote.

If it wasn’t for Jerry: a) Captain Spectacular would still be pantless, sitting in the dark, drinking himself to death, with a beard, alone and unhappy. b) Spy Gal and Captain Spectacular would have never been reunited and have had a second chance at love. c) Herman would have lived the entirety of the rest of his life as Dr. Rocket’s stand-in, until old and gray, and no one would have ever known he was Herman, and he probably would have had a much smaller funeral, and he would have never been knocked upside the head for his true personality to start shining through. d) Captain Spectacular would never have had the chance to forgive Dr. Rocket and realize the importance of their old friendship and strive to repair it, both with the fake Dr. Rocket and now a second chance with the still-living real Dr. Rocket. e) Dr. Rocket would have never have been reunited with Captain Spectacular as friends again, being comforted in his last days, but would have instead been eating orphans with Fidel Castro and many beachwear-clad beauties (Dr. Rocket: “Wait, what?”). f) Captain Spectacular would have never realized how much he loves his son Tom, had not The Third Man supposedly killed Tom, and will be better able to be a better father once he realizes Tom is still alive, just as the death of the fake Dr. Rocket gave him a second chance with the real Dr. Rocket. g) Swifty would have never have met the brain addled Star Maiden and had some love, happiness and positiveness return to his life once again, perhaps beginning the healing process. h) Star Maiden would have never have received the head injury that triggered her regenerative healing powers to heal her brain (which may or may not be a good thing at this point). i) Captain Spectacular would still be in a wheelchair. j) Gene would be working at McDonald’s. Or homeless (okay, I made that one up). k) Tangerine would have never have come to Jesus. l) Mega Matt would still be tormenting his brothers singing “We Are Family” (seriously, joking. Where the heck is that kid?)

I’m sure there’s more, but I’m stopping now. I’m sure there will be more by the end of the SuperFogey saga, most definitely.
