Wow. It’s been almost a month since the last SuperFogeys Origins page posted. The 5th Anniversary Celebration only lasted a week and a half, but that’s calendar math for you. If you need a refresher (goodness knows I did), head on over to page one here.
Jimmy-Go-Dead… man, been a while since we’ve seen him, right? Catch his first appearance right here!
If you’d like to see more of artist Chip Skelton’s phenomenal work, please do check out his moody, artful webcomic, Broken!
I’ve wanted to see more Jimmy-Go-Dead all my life!
Is he the result of some experiments Dr. Rocket did? It’d be interesting to know more about his background.
In any case, he’s back, and he’s eating popcorn. And…there’s a mechanical giraffe in the background. How useful that would be!
“All your life?” That’s amazing!
The mechanical giraffe is just the coolest background detail. Didn’t script it. Love it.
Is that the giraffe from Vienna’s Mechanikopera?
Since I have no idea what that is… I have no idea.
Dr R’s face in the last panel is perfect.
Thanks. It’s my favorite part of the page.
Doc Rock has quite the menagerie. I’ve been a fan of stuff that has mutliple feet, suckers and gigantic teeth. Hope those guys stay caged.
Is the good doc giggling like a school girl in the last panel?
Brock – does your h/t to Chip mean there is new Broken to read!?!
Alas, blackbeard, no new Broken any time soon. Sorry.
Nice! You don’t see texture much in comics anymore (pity), but this one does it and does it well.
Yeah, I was unsure when Chip proposed it, but I ended up really digging the feel it gives the comic. Really great stuff.
