BRIAN ANDERSON

Today’s amazing spotlight on Dr. Rocket comes to us from Brian Anderson of the nationally syndicated comic strip,Dog Eat Doug! Brian is doing me a huge favor this week as last week’s ER visit really threw me off my game. Look at the detail in the good Doctor’s face! Amazing work, Brian, and very, very funny. Thanks!

(…vapors…heheh.)

NEW TALL TALE FEATURES MEMBER!

Tall Tale Features is proud to announce today the addition of its newest member…drumroll, please….

Barb Jacobs’s Xylia!

Xylia started out on Drunk Duck but has since moved over to Keenspot. Xylia is a very different sort of comic from what you’ve found on Tall Tale Features so far, but it’s very indicative of the diversity we’re hoping to have in the long run.

Barb is a PHENOMENAL talent and we’re super lucky to have her. Seriously, if you haven’t checked out Xylia yet, you’re missing one of the best fantasy webcomics out there.

Be sure and stop on by Tall Tale at the link up above to see the news post about Xylia joining and to welcome Barb into the fold!

NEW TH3RD WORLD STORE!

The first sign of the Th3rd World massive site update is upon us with the all-new Th3rd World Store. It’s now much easier to order your favorite comics and you’ll find a ton of new books in there…including the first collection of a little comic calledPinkerton and the third SuperFogeys collection.

CAMEOS

I can hardly believe it’s happening, but for some reason I’ve been making appearances in webcomics all over the place. Not the SuperFogeys. Me. Weird, right?

If you’re not already aware, it’s kind of a running joke over at Thog Infinitron to have my ugly mug turn up and start criticizing the story right there on the page. You have to see it to believe it.

Today is my debut on Allen’s fun (and sometimes very serious) serial drama comic, Due East. I don’t really know what to expect, but Allen asked if I might make an appearance and I was only too happy to oblige! Come on over with me and check it out!

ANNIVERSARY

Today my wife Erin and I celebrate our Eighth Wedding Anniversary. If you’re not married yet, I can’t recommend it highly enough. Marry well and there’s no happiness that cannot be achieved, no matter the hardship that comes along. I speak from experience. I can’t imagine the last eight years without her and I shudder to think what the next 80 would be like if she weren’t making sure my clothes match properly and reminding me that “fiscally” is the pretentious form of “financially.” She’s my one, true partner-in-crime. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

As such, I won’t be around much today, but rest assured that I will be responding to each and every one of your comments as usual just as soon as I get a chance.
